Extreme Learning Curve Month 17

Last month we brought Fahyim to his monthly checkup in Pantai Hospital. This time it is for his last Pneumococal Vaccine injection. I opt for all the extra vaccines offered by his pediatrician Dr. Eric Lee Kim Hor  just because I care for my sons well being. This next checkup on the 24th of January is for his SARS vaccine. Praise to God for Fahyim seldom gets chronic illness.

Normally, a visit to the hospital will put the kid to his whining mode. "Uwekk" here "Uwekk" there. But last month he was so happy that he ran like a headless chicken through the hallway. He always has this urge of wildness when he sees ample spaces to explore. I remember that day he visited all of the bench in the hallway and drums on each and single one of it while giggling. He then repeated that gesture for a couple of times and started licking the arm rests. Haha!
Taking a picture of him is like rocket science nowadays

Off I go!!

I have a strong believe that one day, this kid will be so passionate in the sports of football. He will join me to watch Saturday and Sunday night football on the tele. Whenever the interval sound of a Barclays Premier League airing on the tele, he will instantly wake up and stood in front of the screen. He stands so close to the screen till we have to pull him back. The frequency of the sound impresses him so much he didn't even listen when we call his name. He even bites the edge of the TV cupboard till the paint gone off. What a kid!

He got no interest with porridges nowadays. Be it chicken porridge, beef porridge, vege porridge or even salmon porridge. He digs french fries now! He eats it non stop and sometimes being greedy as well. He will shove it all at one go in his mouth and keep on coming back for more.

It is normal for a kid of his age to show signs of rebel every now and then. Most babies will whine and cry if their wants not fulfilled. But my kid portrays a different method. He bangs his head on the floor and on the wall. No kidding. If you're unlucky, he will deliver you a nice headbutt on the face. The advantage of having a strong skull since he was born comes into use. I hope he doesn't practice that at school later on. Ha ha ha..

Everything seems to go his way since the first time he fell from the bed few months ago. This time, he was smacked with the "First Natural Bleed" caused by his carelessness. He was holding the remote control, making hell of a mess to the house as usual when suddenly he decides to do a turn. His right leg tripped my wife's leg. Control was lost, balance gone hay-wired and "Splattt!!" down he went, face first.  He screamed helplessly, tears falling down his eyes and blood flowing down his nose.  I know it was an agonizing one because there was a long pause between his painful facial expression to his enormous cry. His nose and upper lips hit the floor and the worse part is, the remote control that he was holding was in between of the floor and his face. Journey on becoming a man my boy. Deal with it. Haha!
